Queen of the Weekend

Location: Harbor Beach Ct - Santa Cruz, California

Cost: $50.00 per person

Type: Queen of the Weekend (KOB format - no partner required)

1st Place Winner: $300.00 cash & prizes & "Queen of the Weekend" bragging rights

Teams: 16 spots - every athlete matches up to play each other (seeded)

Scoring Format: 3 Rounds of pool play, 1 game to 21, Rally Score

Court Format: Short Court

Equipment: Wilson AVP Volleyball (sponsor dependent)

Referees: All teams required to ref upon request (Refs may be provided)

Upon entry each athlete will check-in and receive a HOTSAND USA player goodie bundle and an athlete wrist band. Drinks, snacks & other refreshments will be available throughout the day with lunch will be provided at 11:30 am (by Pono Hawaiian Grille). Quiksnapdown VIP passes available for purchase - includes access to the players area & lots of goodies.

For this event HOTSAND USA is teaming up with Toadal Fitness & doTERRA to bring you a Heath, Wellness & Essential Oils option to your tournament experience. With is an early-bird pilates session available for those who want to tone-up/ warm-up prior the tournament (details to follow). Also there will be massage technicians on-site to help the athletes & fans stay ready to compete.

Details:

QUEEN of The WEEKEND (QOTW):

- Tournament check-in at 8:30 am

- 1st games start at 9:00 am - tournament concludes around 4:30 pm

- Limited to 16 athletes the field will be seeded (based on CBVA rating)

- 4 pools of 4 athletes will all start off round 1 in the GOLD bracket

- After each round athletes will again be seeded based upon total score (in case of a tie - the player with the higher round 1 seeding will again be seeded higher)

- 3 rounds of 3 games will be played (9 total) - resulting in Gold, Silver, Bronze & Copper brackets

- GOLD Division = Cash prizes

- $300.00 1st place & QOTW

- $100.00 2nd place

- $50.00 3rd & 4th place

- SILVER Division = 1st place HOTSAND USA prize bundle & gift certificates

- BRONZE Division = 1st place HOTSAND USA prizes

- COPPER Division = 1st place HOTSAND USA prizes

** We will review the bracket, seeding and tournament format prior to the start of round 1 at the players meeting.
